Sony Announces Xperia Z1 Compact - the Premium Compact Design Smartphone
The best of Sony technologies is now packs inside a pocket-friendly compact smartphone. Here at CES 2014, Sony introduces the Xperia Z1 Compact - Yes, it's the mini version of the flagship Xperia Z1; instead, it will not be called the Z1 mini or Z1 f.
The Z1 Compact is almost identical to the original Z1 packing the same Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, the same 20.7 MP camera, dust-resistant and waterproof design, with a 4.3 inch screen and attractive color options of black, white, lime and pink.

Sony Brings Android 4.4 KitKat Upgrade to Selected Devices, 4.3 to Roll Out First.
Dear Sony fanboys, are you wondering when will Sony release the latest version of Android update for your favorite Xperia smartphone? Here, we have some good news for you. Sony revealed their firmware upgrade plans which bringing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and 4.4 KitKat upgrade for selected Xperia devices.
First of all, ten in total devices are getting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean upgrade starting next month (note, there will be a trio handsets that skipping the 4.2 update, jump from 4.1 to 4.3) . After that, five of its latest smartphone will receive Android 4.4 KitKat in near future.

Sony Xperia ZL
Sony Xperia ZR
Sony Xperia Z Ultra
Sony Xperia Z1

Hands On with the Sony Xperia Z1
One of the biggest attractive point of the latest Sony Xperia Z1 flagship smartphone falls on its camera performance. It has a large 20.7 MP 1/2.3 inch Exmor RS sensor with a f/2.0 aperture, Sony G Lens and BIONZ imaging processing engine.
The Sony Xperia Z1 will be priced at RM2,399 in Malaysia and available in three colors: Black, White and Purple. Alongside with the smartphone, the Sony Smart Watch 2 is the best companion gadget for the Z1 and it has a retail price of RM780.

The Sony Xperia Z1 F Showcased at Japan NTT Docomo's Winter Lineup
Finally the long rumored Sony Xperia Z1 mini officially announces by the Japanese Telco, NTT Docomo at the company's annual winter lineup. The Xperia Z1 f (codenamed Honami mini) is the shrink version of the flagship Xperia Z1.
The Xperia Z1 f spots a smaller screen measured at 4.3 inch with a 720p resolution display and packs a smaller battery of 2300 mAh. Aside from the shrunk down display and battery, it comes with the specs similar to its bigger brother, such as the fantastic 20 MP G Lens camera, powerful 2.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM and runs on NTT Docomo's 150 Mbps LTE network.

The 'mini' Version of Sony Xperia Z1
Look what we have here, this time is a leaked image believed to be leaked from the Japanese operator NTT Docomo. The image above shows a two devices: the flagship Xperia Z1 and smaller device named Xperia Z1 f.
The Xperia Z1 f believed to be the rumored Sony Xperia Z1 Mini codenamed Honami Mini and it will the first Sony device to join the mobile industry's popular 'mini' trending. According to the leaked document, the Xperia Z1 f's spec sheet revealed that it will have the same 2.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor found in the flagship Xperia Z1.

Leaked Image of Sony Xperia Z1 Mini Alongside with Xperia Z1
Sony Xperia Z1 Mini get caught in a picture placing next to the Xperia Z1, the newly announced Sony's flagship smartphone at the IFA 2013, Berlin.
The mini version of the Xperia Z1, codenamed Xperia Honami Mini was rumored to packing almost an identical specs as the Xperia Z1 exceptional for a smaller 4.3 inch display and a 2400 mAh battery.
The Z1 Mini comes with a 4.3 inch 1280 x 720 HD display (no mention whether it will feature the similar Triluminos display), Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a 2400 mAh battery and the same 20.7 MP G Lens 1/2.3 sensor camera that found on the Xperia Z1.
If the rumor is true, then the Xperia Z1 Mini is set to be one of the most powerful compact smartphones in the market, which had a set of similar high-end hardware as the flagship Xperia Z1 with a reduces display size and battery capacity.
The rumor suggesting that Sony will announces the Xperia Z1 Mini sometime in fall or may be debuts during CES 2014 in January.

Sony Xperia Z1 Goes Official at Sony IFA Press Conference
Today at Berlin in Sony IFA Press Conference, Sony announces many new products including the cameras, TVs, audio and mobile. The phone that we had long awaited finally arrive, the codenamed Honami device goes official, to be called Sony Xperia Z1.
The new Sony flagship phone Xperia Z1, combine the best of Sony and "One" Sony concept to deliver the best experience to the consumers. The Xperia Z1 featuress Sony's G lens in the camera, with 20.7 MP, 1/2.3 inch sensor size, BIONZ image processor and a Sony Exmor RS sensor. It can take picture with up to 3x zoom zero loss of clarity.
The Sony Xperia Z1 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-core processor, a 5 inch Full HD 1080p with Triluminos display and X-Reality for mobile, water resistant and a aluminium body with tempered glass. Running on Android 4.3 with Sony customize UI and a 3000 mAh battery on board.

Sony “Lens-camera” Specs and Promo Video Leak
Less than a day before Sony unveils its flagship smartphone codenamed Honami, the Xperia Z1 and the rumored attachable lens which called the “Lens-camera”. A new promo video and full specs of the “Lens-camera” has been leaked.
The video shows the features of the “Lens-camera” such as one-touch connectivity between the lens and smartphone, launching the PlayMemories Mobile app, touch auto-focus, manual control, edit and share photos using apps.
The pricing of the new Cyber-shot QX100 and QX10 lens-style cameras will be $500 and $250 respectively, will be released later this month.
The Cyber-shot QX100 camera features a premium, high-quality 1.0 inch, 20.2 MP Exmor R™ CMOS sensor, identical to the one found in Cyber-shot RX100 II camera. Featuring a fast, wide-aperture Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens with 3.6x optical zoom and a powerful BIONZ image processor. It also spots a dedicated control ring for manual focus and zoom.
The Cyber-shot QX10 camera is a high-zoom, powerful 18.2 MP Exmor R™ CMOS sensor with 10x optical zoom Sony G Lens. It has built-in Optical SteadyShot and will be available in two different colors – black and white.

As the date coming closer to September 6, we are seeing more and more rumors and teaser about what's coming at the IFA 2013. It is about the time to get excited as only 7 days left to the largest consumer electronics fair where unveiling the latest technological developments.
So, what to excited about IFA 2013?
Firstly, the long rumored Sony Xperia Honami, a.k.a Sony Xperia Z One. The cameraphone from Sony to rivals with the Nokia Lumia 1020 41 MP PureView - Zoom Reinvented (super high resolution, which let you zoom in close to your shot after you've taken it) and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom 16 MP with 10x optical zoom.
The Xperia Honami will features a 20.7 MP G Lens camera with 1/2.3 inch sensor rather than the previously rumored 1/1.6 inch. The others rumored specs are a 5 inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 display, 2.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, water and dust resistant, and a 3000 mAh battery. To be available in 3 colors: Black, Purple and White.

More Leak Images of Sony Xperia Honami
Just less than a week before the IFA 2013 take place in Berlin. Few days ago, Sony released the official teaser about their upcoming flagship smartphone - the Sony Xperia Honami or Z One. Now, more leak images of the Honami popped up on a Chinese website, 356dian.com.
The image shown above is a dummy model with the label of ‘Xperia Z1 L39h’ on the front screen. These leak images showing almost all angle of the Sony Xperia Honami from front, back, top, bottom and left right of the phone. Giving us a clear idea of the phone that has the similar design language as the Sony Xperia Z.
Unlike the recent Sony teasers, at the back of the phone has the camera spec label beside the camera lens. With a G Lens branding at top with a label of 1/2.3 inch and 20.7 MP resolution below it. This is something extra from what we had seen from the Sony.

Teaser: Sony Upcoming Xperia Smartphone
Starting from last week, August 22, Sony has released its first teaser about upcoming Xperia smartphone, to be unveil on September 4 at IFA 2013 in Berlin. The picture shows off a power button recognized as the current lineup Xperia smartphone design language with a hashtag of #bestofSony. Sony Mobile wrote “Its the smartphone everyone's been talking about... not long now #bestofSony”
Would it be the Sony i1 Honami / Z One that created buzz on the Internet over the pass few months? What else could it be other than the long rumored cameraphone from Sony that everyone has been discussing about?
