The 'mini' Version of Sony Xperia Z1


Look what we have here, this time is a leaked image believed to be leaked from the Japanese operator NTT Docomo. The image above shows a two devices: the flagship Xperia Z1 and smaller device named Xperia Z1 f.

The Xperia Z1 f believed to be the rumored Sony Xperia Z1 Mini codenamed Honami Mini and it will the first Sony device to join the mobile industry's popular 'mini' trending. According to the leaked document, the Xperia Z1 f's spec sheet revealed that it will have the same 2.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor found in the flagship Xperia Z1.

Under the hood, the Z1 f will comes with a 4.3 inch 720 x 1280 display, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a 2300 mAh battery and 2.2 MP front facing camera. In the meanwhile, Sony dropping the Triluminos display down but retaining the 20.7 MP rear camera for the Z1 f.

In addition, the Z1 f will offers new color options of yellow and pink together with the traditional white and black color. It will also have IP55/IP58 dust and water resistance.


The Xperia Z1 f aka Z1 mini (codenamed Honami mini) will packed the similar hardware as the flagship Xperia Z1 in a compact size and with little compromise, it will be a powerful compact device ever. Until now non of these specs are confirmed, just take it with a pinch of salt. We'll keep update you with the latest news on further development.

UPDATE: The Z1 mini is confirmed, named the Xperia Z1 f, will be release in Japan.
