Google announced the brand new Android 5.0 Lollipop alongside the Nexus 6 smartphone. What more, there is also a completely new Google Nexus 9 tablet, partnership with HTC, the first tablet to run Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Underneath it, you'll found some serious hardware: a powerful 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset with Dual-core Denver 2.3 GHz CPU and a 192-core Kepler GPU. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and cost you $399 (around RM1,306) for the base 16 GB WiFi model; $479 (around RM1,570) for the 32 GB WiFi; and $599 (around RM1961) for a 32 GB LTE version.
The Nexus 9 sports an 8.9 inch 2048 x 1536 IPS LCD display with 4:3 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. HTC also brought in its signature BoomSound stereo speakers to the Nexus 9 tablet. Other specs included a 8 MP rear camera with autofocus, f/2.4 lens and a LED flash; a 1.6 MP selfie camera; NFC; Bluetooth 4.1; and a 6,700 mAh battery.
The HTC made tablet will be available in three colours option: Lunar White, Indigo Black and Sand. Pre-order is now available and hitting the stores on November 3rd for the US market. Google planned to roll out the Nexus 9 in 29 countries later this November.
