Qualcomm Reveals Snapdragon 810 and 808 High-Performance 64-bit SoCs


The current flagship smartphones - Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2, HTC One (M8), Oppo Find 7, etc. -  all equipped with the latest and greatest Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 processor and we're all expecting to see the upcoming Snapdragon 805 powered device later this year; The story doesn't end here, as Qualcomm had announced the next-generation mobile processor for the Snapdragon 800 family, the Snapdragon 810 and 808.

Both the Snapdragon 810 and Snapdragon 808 will come with 64-bit support and built at 20 nm manufacturing process. The Snapdragon 810 is an Octa-core processor, featuring four high performance Cortex-A57 cores and four lower-power Cortex-A53 cores.


It will also supports 4K display, upgraded camera suit with 4K video recording at 30 fps, 1080p at 120 fps, 14-bit dual Image Signal Processors (ISPs) and image sensor up to 55 MP. Besides that, it will comes with LPDDR4 RAM, Adreno 430 GPU (30% faster than Adreno 420 and consume 20% less power), Bluetooth 4.1, USB 3.0, Cat 6 LTE-Advanced and so on.


The Snapdragon 808 is a Hexa-core processor with two Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. It will support 2K display, LPDDR3 RAM, Cat 6 LTE-Advanced and Adreno 418 GPU (20% faster than Adreno 330. These SoCs are expected to show up in commercial devices by the first half of 2015.
