Oppo Launches Find 7 with Two Variants: QHD & FHD; and 50MP "Super Zoom" Feature


Oppo unveiled their flagship smartphone at a launch event in Beijing and available in two versions - the Find 7 and Find 7a. The former device packs a JDI manufactured Quad HD panel on its 5.5 inch display with 2560 x 1440 resolution and resulting in an unbelievable pixel density of 538 ppi. The second variant, the Find 7a (aka Find 7 Lite) features a 5.5 inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution display and has a pixel density of 403 ppi.

First of all, the Find 7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-core processor clocked at 2.5 GHz and Adreno 330 GPU alongside 3 GB of RAM. The phone features a 13 MP Sony's second generation IMX214 Sensor with dual-mode LED flash, f/2.0 aperture lens and Pure Image 2.0 Technology with Super Zoom feature. This feature allow the camera to take 10 shots continuously, and then combining them into a high-definition 50 MP picture.

The 13 MP camera also capable to record 4K videos at 30 fps as well as 720 p slow-motion videos at 120 fps, a 32-second long exposure time and Hand-Held Night Mode. There's also a 5 MP f/2.0 front-facing 80 degree wide angle sensor camera, 16 GB of internal storage expandable via MicroSD card up to 128 GB and a 3,000 mAh battery.


On the other hand, the Find 7a comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, MicroSD card slot and 2,800 mAh battery. The device will have the same camera technology on the Find 7 with 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front-facing camera.

Both smartphone run on ColorOS 1.2 based on Android 4.3, featuring the MAXX Audio Mobile Technology and VOOC battery charging technology that quickly charge the phone from 0% to 75% in just 30 minutes, which is 4 times faster than conventional charger. Other features included NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE, USB OTG, Micro-SIM and Gorilla Glass 3.

The Find 7a will be on sale in China starting March 20th for 2,998 Yuan (around RM1,590), while the flagship Find 7 is priced at 3,498 Yuan (around RM1,850). However, the Find 7's availability both in China and internationally has yet to announced.

UPDATE: The Oppo Find 7a will available in Malaysia from May 15th and priced at RM1,598.

UPDATE: The Find 7 will retail at RM1,898 and will be available from June 30.
