The main selling point of the P9 is none other than the "Leica-approved" dual-lens rear camera. The dual 12 MP f/2.2 camera sensors consist of one monochrome and one colour sensor with 1.25 µm pixel size. The monochrome sensor capture black and white images with superior detail and combined with the colours taken by the RGB sensor to produced sharper images as well as better low-light performance.

On the other hand, there's also a P9 Plus edition. The P9 Plus has identical internals and the same dual-lens camera setup. It features a larger 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 1080p Press Touch (pressure-sensitive) display, a bigger 3,400 mAh battery, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage.
