Huawei introduced the company's latest smartphone, the Honor 6 Plus. It seems like HTC is not alone in the dual-lens setup -- HTC's Duo Camera -- and Huawei is also buying the idea. The Honor 6 Plus is all about its dual 8 MP rear cameras' technology and innovation.
The Chinese company give you triple the fortune with the "888" blessing (the number 8 stands for fortune in Chinese), there's even an 8 MP camera for selfie. So, you'll get three 8 MP cameras in the Honor 6 Plus.
The metallic device houses a 5.5 inch 1080p JDI LCD display, Huawei's HiSilicon Kirin 925 Octa-core CPU clocked at 1.8 GHz, ARM Mali T628-MP4 GPU and a low-power i3 coprocessor (for fitness tracking). It comes with a healthy 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and a dual-SIM slots - one of which doubles as a microSD tray, supporting up to 128 GB card.
The dual 8 MP rear cameras consist of a f/2.0 aperture lens with autofocus, while another sports a f/2.4 and a fixed focus setup. Both cameras has a pixel size of 1.98 microns for better sensitivity and a faster autofocus time at just 0.1s. It can take 13 MP shots with the two 8 MP sensors and refocus the captured photos (re-adjust the aperture size from f/0.95-f/16).
Other features included 8 MP Sony BSI front-facing camera with wide-angle, Dual-LED camera flash, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, infrared transmitter, WiFi, 4G LTE connectivity and a huge 3,600 mAh battery. The Honor 6 Plus run on Android 4.4.2 based on EMUI 3.0.
The Honor 6 Plus comes in two versions: the 16 GB, 3G-only and NFC-less model priced at CNY1,999 (around RM1,120) and available in Black or White. The 4G premium version cost CNY2,499 (around RM1,400) and has an additional gold colour option.
UPDATE: Honor 6 Plus is officially launches in Malaysia, it will be available on 29 April 2015 with a price tag of RM1,399.
