Jolla Debuts the Jolla Tablet with Crowdsourced and Powered by Sailfish OS 2.0


Jolla, the mobile company from Finland  announced their first product, Jolla Smartphone one year ago and now they are introducing the Jolla Tablet - a crowdfunding project on Indiegogo, targeted at $380,000 goal.

The campaign started on 19 November 2014 and just hours into the campaign, Jolla have successfully reached their goal at $380,000 and they has now raised over a million funding in less than 48 hours.


The Jolla Tablet is powered by a 64-bit Intel Quad-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and paired with 2 GB of RAM. It has a slightly smaller screen compare to the Nokia N1, measured at 7.85 inch 2048 x 1536 IPS display with 330 ppi.

There's 32 GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot that supports up to 32 GB. Imaging wise, it packs a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. Other features included WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a 4,300 mAh battery.

This 8.3 mm tablet weighs 384 grams and run on the Sailfish OS 2.0 and of course it will also capable to runs Android apps. The Jolla Tablet is expected to carry a retail price of $249 (around RM836) and with early supporters can purchase it for just $189 (around RM635).
