Nokia the once top notch brand, have something new and surprise for its loyalty brand consumers - Nokia revealed the N1 Android tablet, their first brand-licensed product. As a Nokia fans, we were glad and excited too see the Nokia brand return.
In fact, the N1 is not manufactured and distributed by Nokia. Foxconn is. However, the N1's hardware and software is designed and written by Nokia. The N1 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nokia's Z launcher.
The specs wise, there's a 64-bit 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 Quad-core processor, PowerVR G6430 GPU clocked at 533 MHz, 2 GB fo RAM and 32 GB of non-expandable storage. The N1 features a 7.9 inch 2048 x 1536 IPS display with 4:3 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3, 8 MP rear camera with auto-focus, 5 MP front-shooter and a pair of stereo speakers.
Crafted with one-piece aluminium design, 6.9 mm thick and weighs 318 grams - the N1 is a handsome Android slate with an iPad Mini looks. Other features included Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3.5 mm audio, micro-USB 2.0 Type-C reversible connector and a built-in 5,300 mAh battery.
The Nokia N1 will be available in Q1 2015, planned to launch in China first and follow by Russia soon after. It will carry a price tag of $249 (around RM836) and comes in two colours: Natural Aluminium and Lava Gray.
