LG Display announced the company will start to mass production of the world's first flexible OLED panel, a new lightweight 6 inch panel for smartphones. Basically, the display is made from plastic substrates which give its the bendable ability and able to fixed inside a device with curved design.
According to reports, LG is working on its first flexible screen device, the G Flex, a 6 inch curved screen smartphone. The G Flex is set to be announced next month and the company is readying new products with "enhanced performance and differentiated designs" for the following year.
By the way, Samsung is also joining the flexible display for smartphone. Well, we don't have to wait too long to find out. Let's imagine, how cool will it be if we could bend our smartphone into the shape we'd like and stuffed into the jean pockets.
