Dell Reveals Venue 8 Pro and Venue 11 Pro Windows 8.1 Tablets


Dell unveiled a series of its new Venue Family devices which included tablets and new XPS laptop with a 2-in-1 Ultrabook at the Dell Venue launch event held in New York City.

Let's take a look on the new Dell Venue Family tablets, Dell have total launched four tablets at the event: the Dell Venue 7 and Dell Venue 8 are Android based tablets; on the other hand, the Dell Venue 8 Pro and Venue 11 Pro are Windows 8.1 based tablets.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro spots a 8 inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution, 10 point multi touch screen. Under it hood, there is a Intel Atom Quad-core Bay Trail processor with 2 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, 32 or 64 GB of internal storage, a 1.2 MP front facing camera and a 5 MP rear camera. The device weight at only 400 g and with a thickness of 8.9 mm.


The Dell Venue 11 Pro is a 10.8 inch Windows 8.1 tablet with "the power of an Ultrabook, portability of a tablet and experience of a desktop" which claimed by the company and with the docking options to bring the best experience mobile keyboard and longer usage time.

It will has a 10.8 inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS display and will be powered by either Intel Atom Quad-core Bay Trail processor or a 4th generation Haswell processor up to core i5.

The device will have 2 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB storage on board - configure up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Other features included WiDi, NFC, a full-sized USB port, HDMI port and a microSD card slot. There is a 2 MP front facing camera and a 8 MP rear camera.

The Dell Venue 11 Pro will be available on Dell UK website from November 7th for $500 (around RM1,600) and the Dell Venue 8 Pro will be available from October 18th, priced at $300 (around RM960)
