At IFA 2013, Berlin, Asus announced the new Transformer Pad again. Fortunately, this time the company announced with the full specifications of the tablet.
The new flagship tablet - Transformer Pad TF701T, is a 10.1 inch Android tablet with a stunning 2560 x 1600 IPS ultra-high resolution display , the latest high performance Nvidia Tegra 4 Quad-core processor and a lightweight Mobile Dock with USB 3.0 (upgraded from 1920 x 1080 FHD display and Tegra 3 Quad-core processor from its predecessor - Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T).

The new Asus Transformer Pad runs on Android 4.2, powered by a Quad-core 1.9 GHz Nvidia Tegra 4 processor with 4-Plus-1 Cortex A15 CPU, a second generation battery-saver core and a 72-core GeForce GPU.
The new Transformer Pad also features a front 1.2 MP camera and a rear 5 MP camera which was a downgrade from its previous generation of front 2 MP camera and rear 8 MP camera. But it does has Zero shutter lag and HDR (High Dynamic Range) features.
The mobile dock build-in battery extends the new ASUS Transformer Pad's battery life from 13 to 17 hours. The mobile dock also features a USB 3.0 port, SDXC card slot and a full-size keyboard with a large multi-touch touchpad.
Unfortunately, Asus has not given any pricing or availability information at the IFA event.
Would the new Transformer Pad TF701T is a worth upgrade for the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T owner? For a better screen, upgraded processor with enhanced 72-core GPU, longer pad battery life and new mobile dock with USB 3.0, definitely a YES for me on paper. We will find out more, when it is available on the market.
UPDATE: The Asus Transformer Pad TF701T is priced at $449 (32 GB) and the optional keyboard dock will cost you an extra $149.
