Microsoft Announced the Surface Pro 4

Microsoft Surface Pro 4

For the pass few years, Microsoft's Surface has always been a solid hybrid tablet that designed to replace your laptop. Now, we have the Surface Pro 4, it's lighter, thinner and faster than any previous Surface Pro model. It looks pretty much the same to last year's model, but it's slimmer at 8.4 mm and packs a larger 12.3-inch display.

The new display comes with Microsoft's PixelSense technology, with a gorgeous 12.3-inch (2736 x 1824) screen and 3:2 aspect ratio; it features 267 ppi and pushes over 5 millions pixels, supports 100 percent sRGB color, 1300:1 contrast ratio and has up to 10 point multi-touch with GPU-based processing.

The Surface Pro 4 is powered by a sixth-generation Intel Core processor (Core m, Core i5 and Core i7) and has up to 16 GB of RAM as well as up to a grand 1 TB of storage. With the new 6th generation Intel Core chipset, the Surface Pro 4 is 30 percent faster than the Surface Pro 3, yet it's quieter, runs cooler, and is even more efficient.

At the same time, the new Type Cover is also thinner and lighter. The Type Cover features a glass trackpad which is 40 percent larger and the keyboard has been improved with more space between the keys and has better travel distance. In addition, the new Surface Pen supports 1,024 levels of pressure, included an eraser at the end of the pen and attaches magnetically to the tablet.

Other specs included a full size USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort, microSD card reader, Bluetooth 4.0, stereo speakers, 8 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing camera and a battery that lasts up to 9 hours. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 runs on Windows 10 Pro and prices start from $899 (about RM3,710). It will be released starting on 26 October.
