The Japanese giant tech company - Sony Mobile - debuted the world's lightest and slimmest 10.1-inch tablet - the Xperia Z4 Tablet. The new full sized tablet is the successor of the previous year's Xperia Z2 Tablet.
At just 6.1 mm thin and weighs at 393 g, the Xperia Z4 Tablet is 0.3 mm slimmer and 46 g lighter than its predecessor (Xperia Z2 Tablet, LTE version - 6.4 mm, 439 g). The new Xperia Z4 Tablet houses a rounded metal frame and glass design.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet has a 10.1-inch 2K (2560 x 1600) IPS display, featuring Sony's Triluminos display with Live Colour LED technology and combined with X-Reality Mobile Engine, delivering a superb viewing experience.
The slate is powered by the blazing fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which packs a 64-bit Octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.5 GHz. Paired with Adreno 430 GPU and alongside a 3 GB of RAM.
Other specs included 32 GB of expandable storage, 8.1 MP rear camera, 5.1 MP wide-angle front shooter, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 4.1, 4G LTE and a 6,000 mAh battery. The tablet is IP68-certified, which translates into a waterproof and dust-tight design with the USB connector go capless.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It will be comes in Black or White. The Xperia Z4 Tablet will be available in June with LTE and WiFi models, but the pricing is yet to be announced.
UPDATE: The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is now available in Malaysia with a price tag of RM2,699.
