Asus Malaysia announced the company's latest mobile devices for Q1 2015 to the local market with two new smartphones and a new EeeBook. These smart devices will be available at local IT stores and Asus authorized dealers by early February 2015.
The new Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) is a 7 inch phablet with 3G and dual SIM suspport. It is slimmer and lighter than the previous Fonepad 7 (FE170CG) with only 7.9 mm thin and weight at just 280 grams. The new phablet sports also an improved 7 inch 1024 x 600 IPS display with 178-degree viewing angle.
Processing power wise, it uses the same Dual-core 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor found in the FE170CG model. However, the internal memory and capacity has been double up to 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage as well as 64 GB microSD card support.
Other features included an 8 MP PixelMaster rear camera, 2 MP front-facing camera, Android 4.4 KitKat with Asus ZenUI, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and a large 4,000 mAh battery. The new Fonepad 7 will comes in Black, White, Red and Gold colours. The phablet priced at RM529 and will be release by early next month.
The new Asus ZenFone C is an affordable entry-level smartphone and it's also made to replace the current Zenfone 4. The device equipped with larger 4.5 inch IPS display with 480 x 854 resolution. Under the hood, there's an Intel Atom Z2520 Dual-core 1.2 GHz CPU with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
The ZenFone C also features a 5 MP PixelMaster rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3 MP front shooter. The Android 4.4 device packed a 2,100 mAh battery and a microSD card slot (up to 64 GB). To be roll out early next month with a price tag of RM349 and available in Black, White and Red.
