Lenovo at Mobile World Congress 2015 introduced the company's first 2-in-1 camera smartphone, dubbed the Lenovo Vibe Shot. The Vibe Shot is an Android smartphone with 16 MP rear camera and looks like a point-and-shot at first glance.
The camera phone is just 7.3 mm thick and sports an aluminium body frame with Gorilla Glass 3 sandwiching both the front and rear of the device. On the front, you'll getting a 5-inch Full HD IPS display.
The highlight of the phone, of course is its camera. The main camera is a 16 MP unit with a 6-piece module lens, 16:9 BSI sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). What's more, Lenove also added an infrared autofocus feature and a tricolour LED flash. For selfie lover, there's an 8 MP front-facing camera.
The Vibe Shot also comes with a camera shutter button and a toggle for switching between the camera mode. Speaking about the camera mode, there are "Smart" and "Pro" modes. The "Smart" mode is essentially an auto mode while the "Pro" mode lets you explore more on the camera manual control.
In term of the processing power, the Vibe Shot is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. It has a 32 GB of internal storage, 3 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot support up to 128 GB.
The Vibe Shot runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The device also support dual Nano SIM cards as well as 4G LTE connectivity. Last but not least, there's a non-removable 2,900 mAh battery. The Lenovo Vibe Shot will be rolling out starting from June 2015 and carry a price tag of $349 (around RM1,296).
UPDATE - [18/8/2015] Lenovo Vibe Shot finally launches in Malaysia, priced at RM1,399.
