In addition to the Surface Pro 2, here comes the new Surface 2 tablet, a successor to the original Surface Windows RT tablet. Yes, the Surface 2 will runs on Windows RT 8.1 as the "revamp" of the original Surface slate.
Interestingly, the Surface 2 will spots the same 10.6 inch Full HD 1080p ClearType display find in the new Surface Pro 2. It is now powered by the powerful Nvidia Tegra 4 processor, a move up from Tegra 3 processor on its predecessor. Mircosoft claims that the new Surface 2 should enjoy a performance boost from 3 to 4 times faster than the original, and a 25% longer battery life time (10 hours of video playback).

On board, there is a USB 3.0 connection, a microSD card slot and a HD video out port. And of course, it will also have the same two-stage kickstand find in the Surface Pro 2 for a better viewing angle. It will come pre-installed with Mircosoft's Office 2013 RT and free 200 GB of SkyDrive Storage for 2 years.
The Surface 2 will priced at $449 (approximately RM1,410) for 32 GB version and $ 549 (approximately RM1,720) for 64 GB version. Check out the video below for the Surface 2's features and its official website here.
UPDATE: Microsoft Surface 2 landed in Malaysia with a price tag of RM1,399 for 32 GB and RM1,699 for 64 GB.
