Oppo the Chinese manufacturers from China have announced the Oppo N1 smartphone, its first device from the new N-Lens flagship series. The new N1 smartphone, featuring a unique swiveling 13 MP rear camera - which look cool. We first seen a swiveling camera lens was back in 2005 on a Nokia N90 smartphone.
The Oppo N1 smartphone is a huge phone with 5.9 inch Full HD IPS 1920 x 1080 display, a high pixel density of 377 ppi and multi-touch capacitive screen. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quad-core 1.7 GHz processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. The N1 comes with storage options of 16 or 32 GB and a gigantic 3610 mAh battery.

Well, the main focus point will be the camera of the N1. The camera featuring 13 MP sensor with a large f/2.0 aperture, 6 elements lens and a dual LED flash. The camera works as front and back camera as it can rotates 206 degrees and will lock at any angle. The dual mode LED flash: one for normal back facing shots and another softer diffused flash for front facing capture. The brightness of the dual mode LED flash is customizable via the N1 camera software and the camera also supports long exposure photography up to 8 seconds.
If you're wondering about the durability of the rotating mechanism, don't worry it has survived on a 100,000 time rotation test and result as 7 years of usage if you rotate 40 times a day. The camera start up takes just 0.6 seconds with a rotation of over 120 degrees.
On the other hand, the Oppo N1 spots a O-Touch Panel on the rear of the phone. A 12 cm² touch panel that supports gesture such as scroll, tap, or snap a picture without blocking the display itself and is make for one handed use.
The Oppo N1 smartphone will runs on Color OS, a unique Android operating system developed by Oppo based on Android 4.2. In addition, there will be a limited Oppo N1 CyanogenMod Edition to ship with CyanogenMod pre-installed, making it the world first CyanogenMod device.
The N1 will be available in early December with a price tag of CN¥3,498 around RM1,790.
UPDATE: Oppo N1 to be available globally on December 10 for $599 (around RM1,922).
