Microsoft officially announced the successor to their original Surface Pro - the Surface Pro 2, a powerful tablet that faster than 95% of the laptops available today.
Under the hoods, the Surface Pro 2 is powered by an Intel Core i5 Haswell processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, you can choose from 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM and storage options from 64 GB up to 512 GB model. The new Haswell chip inside the Surface Pro 2 increases 20% overall performance than the original slate with 50% more colors accuracy, 50% more graphic performance and a massive 75% increased battery life.

The Pro 2's display spots the same 10.6 inch Full HD 1080p panel and there is now a two-stage kickstand on the tablet. Mircosoft also added new Surface accessories: the Power Cover and a docking station. The Power Cover offers a keyboard station and 2.5x battery extend for the tablet. While the docking station offers more connectivity ports such as 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, a Mini DisplayPort, Ethernet, audio in/out and a charging port. On the tablet itself, there is a microSD card slot, a USB 3.0 port and a Mini DisplayPort.
The Surface Pro 2 will be shipping on October 22nd and having a base price starts at $899, around RM2,820 (64 GB / 4 GB RAM). For more about the new Surface Pro 2 tablet, check out its official website here.
