Asus Transformer Book T100 Windows 8 Tablet


Back at the IFA 2013, Asus added the new Transformer Pad TF701T as its flagship Android tablet, and now it is the turn for Windows 8 tablet. Asus announced a new windows 8 tablet to its Transformer family, the Transformer Book T100 at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2013.

The Transformer Book T100 is a 10.1 inch ultraportable notebook and tablet, just like the Transformer Pad series tablet, the Transformer Book T100 is detachable to use as a standalone Windows 8.1 tablet and attach to its keyboard to become a notebook.

It comes with a 10.1 inch 1366 x 768 IPS HD display, powered by the new Intel Atom Bay Trail Quad-core Z3740 processor, 2 GB of RAM, MicroSD card reader and runs on Windows 8.1. There are a micro-USB, micro-HDMI, and a single USB 3.0 port in the detachable dock.

The Transformer Book can last up to 11 hours on its 31 Wh battery and offer storage options of 32 GB or 64GB. It is to be hits the market on October 18 with the pricing of $349 (32 GB) and $399 (64 GB).

UPDATE: The Transformer Book T100 retails at RM1,299 for 32 GB and dock included.

UPDATE: Due to high demand of the tablet, the Asus Transformer Book T100 seems to be out of stock throughout country. Asus Malaysia is shipping new stocks and it is slightly different from the original model.

The tablet itself will remain the build-in 32 GB storage, but the keyboard is now feature a built-in 500 GB hard disk inside. With the extra 500 GB HDD into the dock, the price of the Transformer Book T100 goes up to RM1,399.
