Sony Mobile unveiled the Xperia Z5 Compact alongside the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium. Just like its predecessor, the Xperia Z5 Compact has a 4.6-inch screen and Sony is no compromise by offering flagship specs in a smaller form factor.
Although the 4.6-inch screen only sports a 1280 x 720 HD resolution IPS display, but it has all the Sony's display technologies with Triluminos Display for Mobile, X-Reality for Mobile and Dynamic Contrast Enhancer.
However, on the inside the device is now powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor along with 2 GB of RAM as well as 32 GB of internal storage. The same great 1/2.3-inch 23 MP Exmor RS rear camera with f/2.0 G Lens and 24 mm wide-angle lens also found in this handset.
Other improvements over last year's model include a new fingerprint sensor power button, a slightly larger 2,700 mAh 'two-day' battery (vs 2,600 mAh for the Xperia Z3 Compact), capless USB port and a 5.1 MP front-facing camera (vs 2.2 MP) with 25 mm wide-angle lens.
As with the Xperia Z5, the Xperia Z5 Compact comes with a frosted glass back and the etched Xperia Logo on the side frame. Other features included IP65/IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, a microSD card slot, Bluetooh 4.1, NFC and 4G LTE connectivity.
The Xperia Z5 Compact will runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The device will launch globally in October and it will be available in four colour options: White, Coral, Yellow and Graphite Black.
