Introducing the G Flex 2, LG's Second Generation Curved Smartphone with Snapdragon 810 SoC


The Korean tech giant company has announced its next generation curved display smartphone - the LG G Flex 2. The new smartphone features a curves ranging from a radius of 400 mm to 700 mm across four curves point: front, back, sides and top-to-bottom edges.

The display of the G Flex 2 has been shrink to a more palm friendly 5.5 inch panel from the original G Flex's 6 inch screen; The good news is, the resolution has been boosted up to a 1080p Full HD display.

It is the first smartphone powered by the new 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 2.0 GHz Octa-core CPU. The device will comes in 2 GB and 3GB of DDR4 RAM, 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot and a 5.5 inch Full HD curved P-OLED display with 403 ppi.

Camera wise, it sports a 13 MP rear camera with OIS+ and Laser Auto Focus and a 2.1 MP front-shooter camera. There's a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery and the smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

LG also maintained the self-healing back cover on the G Flex 2. It has been enhanced to increase the healing speed, the phone cover will recover from scratches within about 10 seconds. Also, LG claims that the screen of the phone is 20% more durable than Gorilla Glass 3.

The LG G Flex 2 will available in Flamenco Red and Platinum Silver. It will be rolling out in South Korea at the end of this month and followed by global launch later. There's no word on how much it'll cost just yet.
