Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Retain the 5.7-inch Screen, Yet Features the Latest Technology From the Korean Manufacturer


Unwittingly the Samsung's Galaxy Note series phablet has come to the fourth generation. The screen size of the Note has been gradually increased from the original 5.3 inch to 5.7 inch. Surprisingly, the Galaxy Note 4 screen size remained at the 5.7 inch - the same size as the Note 3.

Samsung may find the 5.7 inch screen size is the sweet-spot for its popular Galaxy Note series, hence the fourth smartphone in the series, the Galaxy Note 4 keep the 5.7 inch design. It may have the same screen size as its predecessor, but it's totally different story at the inside.


First of all, the Galaxy Note 4 features a 5.7 inch Quad HD 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED display. The phablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Quad-core 2.7 GHz processor (for international markets), while the Korean model will features  Exynos 5443 Octa-core CPU (1.9 GHz Quad-core + 1.3 GHz Quad-core).

Both versions will comes with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage and expandable via microSD card up to addition 64 GB. The Note 4 also sports an improved 16 MP rear camera with Smart Optical Image Stabilizer and a 3.7 MP front shooter with f/1.9 aperture and 90 degree shooting angle and up to 120 wide-angle for group shots.


Other features included a fingerprint scanner on the front, a hearth rate monitor next to the camera's flash, UV light sensor, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, IR LED and 4G LTE connectivity. Lastly, you'll get a S Pen and a slightly larger 3,220 mAh battery. The phablet will runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The Galaxy Note 4 will come in Frost White, Charcoal Black,  Blossom Pink and Bronze Gold. Samsung has yet to announced the pricing, however Samsung stated that it will be available starting in October.


UPDATE: The Samsung Galaxy Note has a price tag of RM2,499 in Malaysia.
