Sony Xperia M2 Aqua: An Affordable Highest Waterproof Rating Mid-range Smartphone


The Japanese company today has added a new member to its Xperia family, the Xperia M2 Aqua. As the name indicates, it is the waterproof version of the Xperia M2.

With the Xperia M2 Aqua, Sony once again breakthrough their popular waterproof technology, leading the waterproof technology to the next level on a smartphone - the M2 Aqua is the most dust- and water-resistance Sony's phone with an IP rating of IP65 and IP68.


The Xperia M2 Aqua features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, Adreno 305 GPU and along with 1 GB of RAM. The handset comes with a large 4.8 inch qHD 540 x 960 IPS display, 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.1 MP front shooter, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and a 2,330 mAh battery.

The M2 Aqua is 4G LTE capable and other connectivity included Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and aGPS. The device will runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. It will be available in Black and White, scheduled to release starting from Autumn 2014 in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pasific.
