CES 2014 was just over but nothing stop Sony from introducing two more new devices, the company recently added new members to its Xperia line with Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia E1. The Xperia T2 Ultra is a 6 inch phablet aimed for emerging market; while the Xperia E1 is a Walkman phone with a very loud 100 dB speaker. Both model will arrive with Dual-SIM variants.
The Xperia T2 Ultra feature a 6 inch HD (1280 x 720) Trilumonis display with Bravia Engine 2 for mobile. The phablet is powered by a 1.4 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage expandable to 32 GB via microSD card and a large 3,000 mAh battery. Other specs included a 13 MP rear camera with Exmor RS mobile sensor, 1.1 MP front facing camera with Exmor R sensor, NFC and LTE connectivity.
The T2 Ultra is set for a global launch and Sony has yet to reveal the price, but the company did state that it will have a launch price of less than €400 (around RM1,800).
Next is the Xperia E1. The Xperia E1 is a mid-range Android smartphone that focus on music. The highlight of the device is its 100 dB speaker, which produce loud and crystal clear sound with ClearAudio+ mode and xLoud technologies.
It packs a 4 inch WVGA 800 x 480 display, 1.2 GHz Dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of expandable internal storage via microSD card. The E1 also comes with a 3MP rear camera, 1,700 mAh battery, runs on Android 4.3 out of the box and will be available in black, white or purple.
UPDATE: The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is retails at RM1,299.
