Samsung Debuts the Galaxy Camera 2 Ahead of CES 2014


It seems like Samsung can't wait for the CES 2014 that would held next week in Las Vegas, the company has just announced the successor to the Galaxy Camera - the Galaxy Camera 2.

Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Camera 2 is an Android-powered camera with the same 16.3 effective megapixel 1/2.3 inch BSI CMOS sensor, 21x zoom lens and 4.8 inch HD Super Clear Touch LCD display. What's new in the Galaxy Camera 2 is it packs an upgraded 1.6 GHz Quad-core processor and paired with 2 GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Camera 2 runs on Android 4.3 and in addition to WiFi and Bluetooth, it comes with NFC connectivity. The new 'Tag & Go' feature allows it to easy connect to NFC-enable smartphone and device. Other specs included a 8 GB of internal storage with microSD expansion slot, ISO up to 3200, built-in OIS, GPS and a larger battery capacity of 2,000 mAh.

UPDATE: Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 has finally launches in Malaysia with a retail price of RM1,699.
