When it comes to smartwatch, it's hard to imagine what's come next. Besides the design, what else should be taken into consideration when designing a smartwatch? At here CES 2014, CEO of Neptune, Simon Tian, announced the Pine Smartwatch: an idea of shrinking a smartphone down into a watch-size.
Imagine that you're wearing a smartphone with a size of 66 x 53.5 x 14.2 mm in your wrist, something the size of a deck of cards. The Neptune Pine Smartwatch packs a 2.4 inch 320 x 240 TFT screen with 3 navigations button on the right. It's powered by Qualcomm Snapdraon S4 Dual-core 1.2GHz processor alongside 512 MB of RAM.
As a standalone device, it comes with a micro SIM card slot, built-in speaker and microphone, vibration alert, 5 MP rear camera and VGA front camera (both comes with a LED flash). The Pine Smartwatch runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has a 810 mAh rechargeable battery on board. The Pine will cost you $335 for 8 GB + NFC and 16 GB version and $395 for 32 GB version, shipping estimated starts in March.
