LG Unveils G Pad 8.3 Tablet Ahead of IFA 2013


LG Electronic (LG) had just announced the LG G Pad 8.3 tablet ahead of the IFA 2013. The Korean company can't wait to showing off its much-rumored G Pad 8.3 tablet and it is set to officially debut at the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin.

The brand new LG G Pad 8.3 is the latest addition to its G Series lineup of premium mobile devices. The company added that, “the LG G Pad 8.3 builds on the recent launch of the LG G2 superphone, reinforcing LG's commitment to leadership in advanced mobile devices through its premium G Series products.”

The LG G Pad 8.3 is the first 8 inch class with Full HD display. As the name implies, it's an Android 4.2 tablet which featuring an 8.3 inch display with 1920 x 1200 WUXGA (Widescreen Ultra Extended Graphics Array) resolution.

The G Pad is equipped with a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 5 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front facing camera. It is also comes with a 16 GB internal storage and a powerful 4600 mAh battery packed inside a 8.3 mm thickness device with only 338 g.

In addition, the new G Pad will features an unique app called QPair which allows user to check out every call and message received on their smartphone or tablet. Then, users are able to send simple replies using the LG G Pad 8.3. The G Pad easily connect to other manufacturers' smartphone and tablets via QPair and note created on the G Pad's QMemo can be saved and shared between users smartphones and the G Pad.

The G Pad also features the KnockOn app found on their recent launch LG G2 smartphone which turns the device on and off by tapping the display twice.

The LG G Pad 8.3 will be debut at the IFA 2013, and global rollout starting in the fourth quarter of 2013. Currently there is no pricing reveal at this time, but the company stated that prices will be announced at launch time.

UPDATE: The LG G Pad 8.3 is priced at $350 (around RM1,150).
