Samsung Malaysia Electonics has officially launched the Galaxy S7 edge in Malaysia at a launch event held at KLCC. Not only have Samsung Malaysia brought in the Korean company's latest flagship smartphone, they've invited a special guest as well.
The climax of the media launch is none other than the arrival of the Korean famous variety show Running Man superstar, Lee Kwang Soo. His appearance at the event draws a huge crowd of fans gathered with double the thrill and excitement.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED dual-edge display. Under the hood, it's powered by an Exynos 8890 Octa-core processor coupled with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 32 GB of expandable storage via microSD card up to 200 GB.
As for the camera, the device has brand new 12 MP Dual Pixel camera with wider f/1.7 aperture and smart OIS. Although there's a drop in megapixel count from last year S6 Edge's 16 MP camera, but the new Dual Pixel technology offers much faster autofocus speed and improved low-light shots.
Other specs included a large 3,600 mAh non-removable battery, 5 MP selfie camera with f/1.7 aperture lens, IP68 dust and water resistant, LTE connectivity and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The Galaxy S7 edge will comes in Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum. It will be available for purchase from 18 March onward and will cost you for RM3,099.
