LG will show off the a new line of mid-range smartphones at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC). The four new smartphone: Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy build on LG's design language and available in both LTE and 3G versions.
First of all, the LG Magna is a 5-inch device with 720p HD resolution. It will has a 1.2 GHz or 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor which is depending on the market. As for photography, there's an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP camera for selfie. The Magna comes with 8 GB of internal memory, 1 GB of RAM and a 2,540 mAh removable battery.
At the same time, the LG Spirit shares the same processor, internal storage, RAM and display resolution as the Magna, but in a smaller 4.7-inch form factor. It will comes with either 8- or 5-MP rear camera and alongside a 1 MP front camera. Again, there's no information about which markets will receive which variants. The Spirit has a removable 2,100 mAh battery.
Next, the LG Leon is a 4.5-inch smartphone with FWVGA display. Once again, it sporting the similar hardware to its two bigger siblings (1.2 GHz or 1.3 GHz Quad-core CPU / 1 GB RAM / 8GB storage). The rear camera setup is also same to the LG Spirit, but swap out the front camera to a VGA version. The battery size on the Leon shrink down to 1,900 mAh that is also removable.
Lastly, the LG Joy is the smallest device with a 4-inch WVGA screen. It will powered by either a Quad-core or Dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with 1 GB or 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB or 4 GB of internal storage - depending on the market. There's also a 5 MP rear camera, VGA front camera and a removable 1,900 mAh battery.
The four new smartphones will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box or Android 4.4. KitKat for LG Joy. The LTE and 3G models of each smartphone can be differentiate with the rear cover. The LTE variants feature a metallic back cover, while 3G versions sports a patterned plastic back cover.
These new mid-range smartphones will begin to release this week in selected market, although no pricing has been revealed yet.
