Xiaomi Reveals the Company's New Flagship Android Smartphone: the Mi 4, Successor to the Hot-Seller Mi 3


Xiaomi with the great success of its previous year flagship Mi 3 smartphone, the Chinese phone maker is proudly to present the Mi 3 successor at its annual product launch event: the Xiaomi Mi 4.

The Mi 4 comes with stainless steel frame body, swappable plastic back cover and features a 5 inch Full HD Sharp / JDI OGS full lamination display. As for the internal, you'll get a 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU with 3 GB of RAM.


The device will offers a 16/64 GB of internal storage, sports a 13 MP f/1.8 rear camera and 8 MP front shooter featuring Sony stacked CMOS sensor, infrared sensor, LTE radio and a 3,080 mAh battery.

The software wise, the Mi 4 will runs on the company's MIUI based on Android 4.4.2. In addition, this device only measures 6.7 mm thick and weighs 149 g. As expected, this Xiaomi's phone will be very affordable: priced at CN¥1,999 (around RM1,099) for 16 GB model and CN2,499 (around RM1,299) for 64 GB model.


The Mi 4 will be available for pre-order in China starting from July 29th; Unfortunately, Xiaomi did not disclose much about international availability. Interestingly, Xiaomi is also offering a various type of back covers for the Mi 4, such as wood, leather, textile, bamboo and even marble series.
