LG Announces the G Pro Lite, a 5.5 inch Phablet with Mediocre Specs
Looking for a big screen smartphone but can't afford the costly price? Don't worry, LG announces a more affordable LG G Pro Lite smartphone, a sibling to its flagship LG G Pro. The G Pro Lite is a large screen Android device with mediocre specs. It comes with a 5.5 inch IPS display with only 960 x 540 resolution; the original G Pro has a Full HD 1920 x 1080 display.
Under its hood, the phablet is powered by a MediaTek Dual-core 1 GHz processor paired with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card, 8 MP rear camera with BSI sensor and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. There is a large 3140 mAh removable battery in the back and a stylus pen slot located on the top of the phone. Other features are dual SIM support, stereo speakers, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G and WiFi connectivity.
The G Pro Lite will runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and will be available in Black and White. First debut in Latin America followed by Asia, Russia and the Middle East. LG does not disclose the pricing for the phone, but looking at the specs itself, it will have a much more affordable price tag compared to its flagship Optimus G Pro.
