Sony Xperia X Compact Fitted a High-end Camera in Smaller Body

Besides the Sony's new flagship smartphone, the Xperia X Compact also unveiled alongside the Xperia XZ at IFA 2016. The Xperia X Compact may shares the same design language and some internal with the Xperia XZ, but it's not the mini version of the latest flagship.

In fact, as what the name suggested - it's the mini edition of the Xperia X. This means the Xperia X Compact also powered by the same Snapdragon 650 processor and 3 GB of RAM as per the Xperia X. The device is made of  ceramic and available in Mist Blue, White and Universe Black.

Sony has decided to equips the new main camera from the Xperia XZ into the Xperia X Compact as well - the 23 MP 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor for mobile with Triple Image Sensing Technology (Predictive Hybrid Autofocus + Laser Autofocus + RGBC-IR sensor) and the 5-axis stabilization.

The new camera app comes with manual focus and shutter speed control (up to 1 sec exposure time). The Xperia X Compact does not support 4K video and features a 5 MP front snapper with 1/3.06-inch Exmor RS sensor for mobile, 22 mm wide-angle f/2.0 len and support up to ISO 6400.


The Xperia X Compact has a 4.6-inch 720p Triluminos display, 32 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port and a 2,700 mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging.

The phone will be launch globally from September 2016. There's no pricing information revealed at this moment, so we have to wait for official announcement from Sony Malaysia once it's ready to release in our market.
