Besides launching the Galaxy Note 5, there is another phablet announced alongside - say hello to the Galaxy S6 edge+. At first sight, the phablet looks like a bigger version of the Galaxy S6 edge - What do you think? However, there are some differences between them. It has the same eye-catching dual-edge display but with a larger screen, more RAM and a bigger battery capacity. In fact, there are not many differences. Let's find out!
The Galaxy S6 edge+ has almost everything the specs found inside the S6 edge. The new phablet is still powered by the Samsung Exynos 7420 Octa-core processor, 16 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing camera and either 32 GB or 64 GB of non-expandable storage. What distinguish them are the S6 edge+ comes with a larger 5.7-inch 2540 x 1440 Quad HD Super AMOLED dual-curved display and 4 GB of RAM.
On the other hand, the S6 edge+'s hardware is similar to the newly announced Galaxy Note 5. The only thing that's lacking from the S6 edge+ is the S Pen. In addition, the S6 edge+ also equipped with a fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, a 3,000 mAh battery, fast charging and wireless charging technology as well as Ultra High Quality Audio.
What can you do with the edge screen? Apart from the 'People Edge' shortcut (for easy communications with preferred contacts), Samsung included a new edge's software called 'Apps Edge', which allow you to access to your favorite apps by just swiping the edge display.
Just like the Galaxy Note 5, this phablet will runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum. Once again, the local availability and pricing of the S6 edge+ has yet to revealed yet.
