The Galaxy Tab S2 is Samsung Slimmest and Lightest Tablet

Samsung has announced the company's latest Galaxy tablet - the Galaxy Tab S2, the thinnest and lightest tablet of it size ever. The new tablet has a metal frame body and available in two models: 8-inch and 9.7-inch.

As compared with its last year's models, both the new Galaxy Tab S2 feature smaller display and swap out the widescreen 16:10 aspect ratio, replaced them with an iPad-like 4:3 format. In addition, the display resolution also dropped from Quad HD (2560 x 1600) to 2048 x 1536.

The Super AMOLED display delivering true-to-life colors up to 94% of Adobe RGB standard and a "Reading Mode" that help users adjust the screen's brightness level to optimized reading experience for longer periods of time.

Under the hood, it is powered by an Octa-core processor (Quad 1.9 GHz + Quad 1.3 GHz), along with 3 GB of RAM  and 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD up to 128 GB).

Both variants of the Galaxy Tab S2 sports an 8 MP autofocus rear camera and a 2.1 MP front-facing camera. On the other hand, the both models of the Tab S2 will hava a fingerprint scanner and able to run two apps on the screen at the same time.

At just 5.6 mm thin and weighs at 389 g (9.7-inch) and 265 g (8-inch), the tablet packs a 5,870 mAh (9.7-inch) or 4,000 mAh battery (8-inch). Other specs included LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

The Galaxy Tab S2 will be released in global market starting from next month, but Samsung hasn't reveals the price of the tablet yet.
