Colour Up Your Life with Samsung Galaxy Tab S
Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S with high-res Super AMOLED display and comes in two variants: 10.5-inch and 8.4-inch. This tablet is the Korean company's lightest and thinnest tablet to date. Both models measured at 6.6 mm thick and weighs at only 465 g (10.5") and 294 g (8.4").
The Galaxy Tab S has the best mobile display technology, featuting a WQXGA 2560 x 1600, 16:10 resolution Super AMOLED display and offers more than 90% Adobe RGB colour coverage plus a 100,000 to 1 contrast ratio which creates darker black and brighter white.
Both the 10.5-inch and 8.4-inch models come in WiFi only or LTE variants and are powered by an Exynos 5 Octa (Quad-core 1.9 GHz + Quad-core 1.3 GHz) or Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-core 2.5 GHz processor. Backup with 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage, microSD card support up to 128 GB, an 8 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front shooter.
Besides the screen size, the only internal different between the both variants is built-in battery. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 sports a larger 7,900 mAh battery while the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a smaller 4,900 mAh battery. These tablet also equipped with the fingerprint scanner and Ultra Power Saving Mode that found on the Galaxy S5.
The Galaxy Tab S will come in Titanium Bronze and Dazzling White for both 10.5-inch and 8.4-inch versions. Both devices run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and will be available starting from July 2014 in selective markets.
UPDATE: The Samsung Galaxy Tab S LTE will retail in Malaysia for RM1,699 (8.4-inch) and RM1,999 (10.5-inch) and will be available from July 11th.
