Google Announces the All New Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 KitKat


Finally, the day has come. Google once again partnership with LG to develop a new Nexus phone. And now, Google proudly official announced the all new Google Nexus 5 developed with LG. As predicted or according to past rumors and leaks, the Google's smartphone boasts a 5 inch Full HD display and runs on the latest and greatest version of Android - 4.4 KitKat.

The new Nexus 5 measured at 8.59 mm thick and weight at 130 g. Under the hoods, it is powered by the fast and powerful 2.3 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 together with 2 GB of RAM. The device will comes with built in wireless charging and packs with a 2,300 mAh battery.

The 5 inch display (to be exact is 4.95 inch) reaching a high 445 ppi with its 1920 x 1080 Full HD IPS display and featuring the Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 for scratch and damage resistance. The design wise, it will have the soft touch matte finish back cover feel like the Nexus 7.

Other specs included a 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and boasts optical image stabilization (OIS) and HDR+ mode, 1.3 MP front facing camera, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. You can choose between 16 or 32 GB of internal storage which will cost $349 and $399 respectively. Unfortunately, there is no memory card slot expansion for the device.

To be available in white and black colors and available today on Google Play in US, Canada, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan and Korea. Soon, will be coming to India too. So, are you excited with the announcement of Google Nexus 5 by LG? Is that the phone are you waiting for?

UPDATE: Bright Red Nexus 5 is now available at Google Play with the original price tags of $349 and $399 respectively.
